Introducing Red Meal, the microalgal feed for health and colour
Red Meal is a whole microalgae feed product that contains all the natural elements from the Haematococcus pluvialis natural biofactory, thus being a very good source of energy, proteins, carbohydrates, essential fatty acids, vitamins, nucleotides, minerals, astaxanthin and other carotenoids.
Haematococcus pluvialis is a green microalgae classified as Chlorophyta (Phylum) and Volvocales (Order), that in its resting stage accumulates up to 4% Astaxanthin. Even when used in small amounts in feeds, Red Meal adds many studied microalgae and astaxanthin health benefits besides colour. Your animals get nature made safe food.
Red Meal is an homogenized blend of cracked biomass from Haematococcus pluvialis microalgae in vegetable oil, rich in Natural Astaxanthin 3S,3’S enantiomer. This isomer and its supporting carotenoids lutein, canthaxanthin, zeaxanthin and beta-carotene has always been present in the natural food chain. Astaxanthin present is naturally esterified with healthy fatty acids, palmitic, oleic, linoleic and linolenic that enhance stability and provides extensive shelf life. It also contains 10 Vitamins, 18 amino acids, 9 of them essential.
Its high antioxidant capacity protects animal health from deleterious effects caused by oxidative molecules produced by stress in high density cultures.
Adult Crustaceans and salmons fed with microalgae show better survival and growth rate. The balanced composition of Red Meal provide optimal nutrition.
In aquaculture hatcheries the use of microalgae feed increase egg quality and quantity and larval survival.
Diets with natural astaxanthin enhance antibody production and immune cells proliferation which
turns into healthy animals with higher illness resistance.
Pigmentation is a key quality attribute for consumer...
