Marked interest in Ovotrack Egg Quality

Improving egg quality starts with measuring egg quality. Not just checking cracks, dirt and blood but also shell strength, haugh units and yolk color. Increasingly, egg producers, egg graders and egg processors are using sophisticated laboratory equipment to measure a wide variety of quality elements. To archive this quality data and easily connect it to traceability information, Ovotrack has developed the Egg Quality module.

Stefaan Verhelle from Munckenei, the very first Egg Quality user, is happy with its contribution: “It’s very easy to use and yet another step towards automating my egg grading center”. f&f in Switzerland is another early adopter of the Egg Quality module. “Egg quality information is very important to us,” says Mario Hodel, CEO of f&f: “We inform supplying farms about the results every week and actively monitor trends. The Ovotrack Egg Quality module is really helping us do away with manual data entry. By combining this data with relevant information from the original pallet, we can build up an archive of vital egg quality data.” f&f uses the Nabel DET6000 but connections to other devices are also available.
