N-carbamylglutamate - a new feed additive

N-carbamylglutamate (NCG) is a new feed additive developed by China National Feed Engineering Research Center. It is proved as a new feed additive by China Ministry of Agriculture in the year 2014 who annouced Beijing Animore is the legal and sole manufacturer in China.

NCG can promote the synthesis and metabolism of endogenous Arginine and Arginine family of amino acids, to produce NO (nitric oxide) and Polyamines via urea circulation.

  • NO can dilate blood vessels and increase blood supply to promote angiogenesis and the formation of capillaries;
  • Polyamine reglulates DNA and protein synthesis and helps the cell proliferation and differentiation of organisms.

NCG can reduce the blood ammonia, and highly utilize dietary protein

N-carbamylglutamate is a metabolically stable analogue of N-acetylglutamate (NAG), which activates carbamylphosphate synthase, the first enzyme of urea cycle.

Supplementation of exogenous NCG can promote the synthesis and metabolism of endogenous Arginine, to produce NO (nitric oxide) and Polyamines via nitric oxide synthase and ornithine decarboxylase.

Arginine is one of the most multifunctional amino acids in animal cells, serving as a precursor for the synthesis not only of proteins but also of nitric oxide, polyamines, creatine and agmatine. NO can dilate blood vessels and increase blood supply to promote angiogenesis and the formation of capillaries. Polyamine regulates DNA and protein synthesis and helps the cell proliferation and differentiation of organisms.
