Fish Farmers In Nigeria Can Produce Fish Feeds Themselves
Nigeria is one of the leading producers of catfish in Africa. But this has been grossly inadequate to meet WHO’s protein requirement recommendation per person. This is made up for by imports from Europe, South America and the Far East. That is unnecessary while using the Minister of agriculture’s assertion that Nigeria’s aquaculture industry has potential to produce 4 million metric tons of fish which can serve the whole of Africa.
